BREEDING AND CALVING

The lamb production process begins with the careful selection of sheep breeds known for their superior meat quality, tenderness, and consistent yield. Wood Head Brothers Spalding works closely with trusted local farms to raise lambs in clean, natural environments that support healthy growth and overall well-being.

REARING AND FEEDING:

The lambs are primarily raised on natural pasture, grazing freely on grass to support healthy growth and enhance the meat’s flavor and tenderness. In some cases, their diet may be carefully supplemented with grains to promote balanced development and consistent quality.

HEALTH MANAGEMENT:

Regular veterinary checkups and vaccination programs are carried out to maintain the health and well-being of the lambs. Strict biosecurity measures are implemented to prevent the spread of disease, ensuring a safe and controlled farming environment.

Processing and SLAUGHTERING:

Once the lambs reach the ideal weight and maturity, they are transported to certified processing facilities where humane slaughter practices are strictly followed in line with high animal welfare standards.
